Jake DuRussel headed to hunt northern Missouri for the 2017 archery and firearms seasons.

After a few close encounters with his bow, Jake headed out with his rifle as firearms season opened in Missouri.

He was hunting a 160 acre property that borders heavy conservation woods. Around 3pm, a high 150s 10pt bruiser made his way down the path Jake had walked to his stand in the morning.

Stepping out into the cut bean field, the buck presented a 75 yard pitch shot. Jake let the hammer down and stopped the whitetail dead in his tracks.
