WHITETAIL STORY:

I was sitting over a field that I’ve been hunting Whitetails for year. Over the past two years I had a few different whitetails come in close that I didn’t want to shoot.

I’ve been lucky enough to harvest a couple whitetails that are bigger than this one, but this past season the kids really wanted me to bring home some meat, so I had some pressure.

I was sitting in a pinch point spot that the deer like to travel through. It’s just located on the backside of the field that I had been watching many bucks come into, including a couple real nice ones.

It was my last day to hunt in Nov 2019 and I seen some movement in the trees about to come across a little cut line. I was sitting and self filming this hunt, but when I saw that he had short G2’s and nice 5×5 rack I got the rifle up.

He had crossed the cut line and I waited for a shot opportunity and when it was presented I pulled the trigger.

This picture was from the next morning after I recovered my buck in the dark.

It was the first buck I got since my brother Lyle passed away last September and it was very special hunt for me.
