Bog Q-Stik Monopod Hiking Stick

With shed season approaching (if not started) for many avid shed hunters, the Bog Hiking Stick is an ideal accessory for maintaining balance and helping to leverage your weight in even the steepest of terrains.

As one who has bent and broken many ski sticks in the past (when doubling them up for shed hiking sticks) I can attest to the durability of the Bog Hiking Stick. I have torqued, twisted and beaten limbs with the Bog stick…and even once dropped it down a steep cliff. But year after year, I continue to get my monies worth, as it makes my trips every time.

In addition to the durable make-up of the stick, it also has the same light weight feature that I look for with a good walking stick. The last thing I want at the end of the day is for my arm to feel like I have been doing curls all day. Maybe in my younger days this would have been beneficial for the ‘beach bod’, but with my older age and ‘dad bod’, the light weight design is a welcomed feature.

One of the additional features of the stick is the changeable adapter heads that can accompany the stick for binocular rests, camera adapters, compass adapters and more. Although I very rarely use any of the adapters in the midwest for shed season, I could easily see how the would be very handy in the rugged hiking terrain out west.
